TV Anchor Shivajyothi Banned from Entering Tirumala

TTD Takes Strict Action**

Television anchor Shivajyothi has landed in a major controversy after her comments about Tirumala Srivari prasadam went viral on social media. Her remarks sparked outrage among devotees and Hindu religious groups, who strongly objected to her statements. Responding seriously, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) has taken strict action against her.
Aadhaar Blocked – No Entry to Tirumala

Following an internal review, the TTD concluded that Shivajyothi’s comments were damaging to the temple’s reputation. As a result, her Aadhaar number has been blocked, and she has been banned from all forms of entry into Tirumala — including special darshan, Sarva Darshan, seva bookings, and any kind of temple access.

Since such severe actions are rarely taken, this decision has generated widespread discussion.
Apology Issued, but TTD Not Convinced

As the controversy grew, Shivajyothi released a video on social media explaining her side. She stated that:

She never intended to hurt anyone with her words.

Her comments were misinterpreted and taken out of context.

She did not mean to disrespect devotees, religious sentiments, or the temple’s sanctity.

Some of her statements were twisted and shown from a different perspective, leading to unnecessary controversy.

She further clarified that she has always been a devotee of Lord Venkateswara, visiting Tirumala since childhood. She emphasized that criticizing the temple or hurting religious beliefs was never her intention.

Shivajyothi also mentioned that the social media backlash has mentally disturbed her and expressed regret if anyone was hurt by her remarks.

Despite her apology, the TTD remained firm. Officials stated that apologies are not enough when comments harm the temple’s reputation and that such behavior will not be tolerated.
TTD’s Message – Do Not Insult Devotional Sentiments

According to TTD officials:

“Anyone making false or insulting statements about Tirumala Srivari, prasadam, or darshan will face strict action. The same has been applied in Shivajyothi’s case. She will not be allowed to visit Tirumala in the future.”

Mixed Reactions on Social Media

This decision has triggered mixed reactions online:

Some devotees feel the TTD’s action is justified.

Others question whether such a severe punishment is necessary after she issued a public apology.

Regardless, Shivajyothi’s entry into Tirumala is completely barred for now.
